Costa Rica is the latest buzz circulating the traveler’s network. Costa Rica is a small country about half of the size of West Virginia, with many micro climates and an abundance of wildlife, birds, and flowers.
People from all around the world travel to and many now call Costa Rica home. I’ve heard it nicknamed, the Switzerland of Central America.
If you visit Tambor, Costa Rica, try to rent a house in the hills above with a fantastic ocean view.
Tambor (which mean drum in Spanish) is a small fishing village located on a whale shaped bay on the Pacific Ocean. Tambor Bay is protected and the water is calm compared to other areas of Costa Rica. The beauty and laid back atmosphere of Tambor attracted us. It’s less developed than other areas of Costa Rica but still has plenty of activities in the area and surrounding towns.

Alarm clocks are unnecessary in Costa Rica. Your morning wakeup call is provided daily by the howler monkeys, and Tambor Bay’s white sand beach surrounds you.
At Tambor you will find:

Our visitors come for a good home base and to be surrounded by natural beauty, peace, and adventure. On day trips, they visit cool nearby towns with different vibes. People from all around the world go to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica for surfing. It’s only 45 minutes away —unless you are delayed by cows in the road. Yes…I have been delayed by the cows! Another favorite destination 25 minutes away is to hike the waterfall at Montezuma and grab a beer at Chicos.
