Tambor (which mean drum in Spanish) is a small fishing village located on a whale shaped bay on the Pacific Ocean. Tambor Bay is protected and the water is calm compared to other areas of Costa Rica. The beauty and laid back atmosphere of Tambor attracted us. It’s less developed than other areas of Costa Rica but still has plenty of activities in the area and surrounding towns.
